And now it is the turn of the ice-climbing complex. But not a simple ice-climbing complex, but a platform for the World Ice Climbing Championship, organized jointly with the Russian Mountaineering Federation, the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA) and with the support of the Moscow Sports Department.

For the first time, the World Championship was held in Moscow and we adequately managed with this difficult task: tight deadlines, above-zero temperature and, of course, the process of preparing and holding such an important event itself.

Two competitive facilities were prepared: an ice wall and a dry-tooling area. In addition, a warm-up zone and a spectator fan zone were built, where everyone could try ice climbing.

Athletes from 13 countries took part in the competitions and all of them appreciated the quality of the route and the level of organization of the event. By the way, five of the six championship medals remained in Russia! But this does not mean that victory was easy. After all, the main rivals of our team showed excellent preparation and the fight was literally for every centimeter of the distance!

Now our ice-climbing complex has become part of the large sport festival Moscow Winter Fan Fest in Luzhniki, which will last until the end of the New Year holidays – January, 8.
