On August 16th, the 2018 World Climbing Championship ended. Competitions were held in the disciplines "Speed", "Difficulty" and "Bouldering", and the last discipline was the most interesting for our team, because we had built a new boulder especially for this event.
The project turned out to be very interesting, because we decided to do everything from the scratch, without regard to the previous ones. On the way out, there was an unusual geometry, a "hanging" bottom threshold, so that you could put mats, inner reliefs ... To be honest, sometimes it was like an airplane that was being completed right during the flight, because new ideas were being beaten with inexhaustible flow even during the final assembly :)
In total, the project development and implementation took 2 months, and we are really proud of it. No one has ever built such a bouldering project in Russia! Climbing track turned out to be very impressive, which was noted by tracks preparers, athletes and ordinary spectators: the width of 36 meters, height of 4.5 meters, 152 sq.m. of surface with sections of steep overhang and with a slight positive slope and two sections for a duel.
