Who doesn’t have enough standards in Moscow? There are three of them in the CSKA Climbing Center! In the competition hall, in the training hall and outside. Of course, you will not be satisfied with speed alone, therefore, a whole complex of climbing walls for all three disciplines is installed on the facade of the facade of the building: bouldering, speed and 17-meter difficulty, and for fans of climbing natural rocks —freeform, — a cast of a rock (also 17-meter), carefully removed in all details from one of the rocky the arrays of our vast. So those whom the evil boss did not let go to some Bakhchisarai may well find solace here on warm summer evenings.

The team “Climbing wall.Ru” worked on two climbing walls of the facade complex — difficulty and speed.

The difficulty is almost 27 meters wide and has a variety of geometries — beginners can comfortably climb left and right, and advanced visitors to the Center will be interested to try themselves in the central part, where the overhang reaches almost 7 meters! The height is 17 meters, and the total area of the work surface is 614 m2. There are 31 tracks and about 200 tracks.

It was important not only to create a functional universal climbing wall on the facade, but also to make it beautiful, because it is located almost in the very center of Moscow. This is not just a climbing wall, but a business card for visitors to the CSKA Climbing Center and just for walking tourists. And for someone, for sure, it will be the business card of all rock climbing in general. Powerful, spectacular overhang, gradient surface design and branded “skittlestrunk”, beautifully fit into the overall design of the building. It turned out to be bright and monumental, like the houses of the Stalin era on the next side of the street 🙂

The reference track, of course, is set according to all the canons of the International Federation (IFSC), which means that after the certification visit of the commission, it will be possible to hold international competitions and record official world records here!

Climbing “outdoor” is a real pleasure in good weather, and an interesting adventure in bad weather, which we often find on rocks, in the mountains and need to be able to adapt and work in various weather conditions.

Another important function of outdoor sports climbing walls is the preparation of the Russian national team for international starts. World cups and world championships are often held on outdoor climbing walls, such as the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo or the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. Athletes should get used to warming up properly, preparing, working on a climbing wall outside, as if it were raining or vice versa, intense heat and sun, as it was in Tokyo.
